this article is saying that when we get a virus we are cool about it because we get sick all the time, to the virus it means it has found a place to live and reproduce so u can get the flu or get sicker and die.

we need to take care of our hygiene and wash our hands after we use the bathroom and more.

Hello Miss James, i thought this blog was interesting. I say that because theye risked getting infected while testing this experiment. It also amazed me how long a infection can last after exiting its host. I believe to stop this diseases people should stop drinking off of people including parents. I know that sounds crazy but even though their your parents you can still get diseases from them. Also after playing out side or running threw your house take a shower.

That might be hard for some because they run alot threw their house especially for kids. Another resource is to WASH YOUR HANDS!. Washing your hands is the most important thing to do. I say that because you touch things alot everyone does. You use your hands atleast 99.9% of your day. Humans have to use their hands to do just about everything. The only thing you dont have to use your hands for our for sleeping/taking a nap. The only way not to get sick is to stay bundled up in the winter and also stay clean.

This article didnt tell a lot of ways to fight a virus but there are lots of logical explanations on how to. One way is to WASH your hands every day. If you wash your hand in warm water the germs would be killed off those hands. Lots of people go around coughing and sneezing on there hands and shake other peoples hands, that gives you lots of more reasons on why to wash your hands. Another way to fight a virsus is to NOT put money in your mouth. It says in the article that viruses can last up to 3 days on money and if someone coughes on it and they have a virus then that will add 17 more days which equals out to 20 days of a virus and viruses hurt. If your go out when you get home take a STEAMY shower. That will take off lots of bactiria on you. When you do these things you will be happy and the people around you will be happy.

I think that everyone agrees that you should wash your hands. This will keep you safe for a while, but ultimately, not even the whole day. Everyday, you touch common, germ-infected items like tables, door knobs, ECT. Then, many people scratch their face with the virus on them, and they're putting in in your eyes, mouth, nose, and even ears. For one thing you can wipe down such surfaces with a Clorox wipe. By doing this, you can avoid getting sick and protect yourself from the flu and other harmful viruses.

I thought this article was interesting, but in the article it didn't say anything about how best to fight flu viruses. I suppose you (Ms. James) want us to come up with ways we can fight the flu but of our own thinking.

I think there are many ways you can fight the flu. One way is to always wash your hands. If you wash your hands then you won't have to worry about picking up viruses like they did in their experiment when they put the viruses on the tables and stainless steel. Another way you can fight the flu is by keeping your furniture clean by spraying it with some Lysol or something that disinfects surfaces. Also you can get the flu shot so that your body's immune system gets use to fighting viruses so that if the flu virus was to get on you, your body would be prepared to fight. Lastly, you can fight the flu by covering up wounds that are open to infection. If you can cover up wounds quickly after they happen, you can avoid dirt or germs getting into your flesh. I think these are all good ways to best fight the flu instead of doing nothing and just receiving the flu.

Fighting the infleunza virus can be difficult, however, it is also able to be contained. One way is through a flu shot. When you receive a flu shot a weakend part of the virus is given and antibodies are developed to protect against a full fluenza infection. Another influence of the virus is temperature. Some influenzas die out in hot temperatures and salt water as the H1N1 did while other viruses need cold temperatures. Lastly the basic agent to best fight the flu virus is cleaning our hands often. Good hygiene helps greatly to control the spread of the virus.

I thought the article was interesting but it didn't really inform us on how to fight the virus.

You can best find the virus by washing your hands. When you wash your hands you get all of the bad bacteria off. You can also fight the flu by putting band-aids or gauze on open wounds so that the bacteria wont have easy access to your body. Lysol also would help because it says it removes 99.9% of viruses from surfaces. Also you can help to not catch the virus by not putting money in your mouth because the article said that the flu can survive for 17 days on paper money if there is mucus on it. If you keep yourself and the surfaces around you clean as best you can and dont put money in your mouth you shouldnt get the virus.

This article is talking about how you can get germs. You can get germs by you touching your mouth, nose, and eyes. People get sick by them sneezing and touching things. Alot of people in the world get H1N1 viruses. Germs spread everywhere. People get sick by them touching door nobs, books,ect..... The way many people have germs go away is by washing their hands. Waching your hand is the best way to have germs gone. You have to always wash your hands so you won't get sick.

Fighting a virus isn't such a difficult thing. washing your hands is a way. Remember, a virus' one goal is to survive. Not every virus dies right after it leaves the body, some can survive and infect after months. Staying healthy is easy when you take care of yourself. Also if you dont do this try and stay away from stainless steel.

Fighting viruses are easy to do.You should make sure you wash your hands. That you clean household surfaces and clean daily. Germs are everywhere so the simplest thing as in cleaning the cart you get from the grocery store will go a long way in the end. Making sure you keep good hygiene will help with the spreading of germs. We can fight germs and the flu virus by doing these things!

There are a few different methods on how to fight the flu. One is with heat. In the article, it was shown that when the flu was in high temperature or salty water it died quickly ,which explains why we need to eat primarily oatmeal, soup, and crackers when we are sick. Also you should try to eat more often on wooden surfaces as they are less prone to carry the disease. Try as well to cough or sneeze into a napkin and throw it in the trash to prevent the virus from hanging around and infecting yourself again or others. If you follow these simple steps you will feel better in no time.

I believe that the H1N1 virus came from dirt. This virus is so deadly it began to spread all over the world. Everyone didn't catch it but had a big chance of catching it. Scientist have been researching and running test on how to stop H1N1. In the years of 2008-2009 the H1N1 virus was a popular virus. This virus can survive outside of your body for more than six months if the temperature is right. A virus is too small to be seen under a microscope and multiply with living cells of a organism. If all the scientist work together they might find cures for all viruses.

I learned alit about this artical. I learned that in 2009, there was a virus that spread around the world to thousands of people!!! I thought that was very bad because it also said that it lives on your body for 6 weeks!! Wow.....thats sad... But anyway, another thing i learned was that some scientists from france and the united kingdom were trying to see what happens when they put some h1n1 dna on some stuff that we tuch and see if it stays longer than the others.

This article basically talked about how germs grow, reproduce, and spread. I learned how viruses, can only live for a little time outside of a body. They get expelled out of the body in many ways and dont live long after that. Also, the viruses while inside your body are not really in there to make you sick, but to survive.

The best way to fight the flu virus is to first take precautions in all you do. Make sure you wash your hands often and if you are in public areas, take medicines before you get sick. But, if you do get sick, then the best thing to do is to still wash your hands and take some medicine. But dont worry, if you get sick, your body will be working hard to kill those viruses. (if the sickness keeps getting worse, please seek professional medical attention!!!!)

Hello Mrs. James this is my blog for the recent article posted. The blog is talking mainly viruses and the survival of them. Also about scientist discovering how long they live and how they survive. The article is saying that viruses that live outside their host live longer than viruses that live inside their host. Also sceintist have conducted recent research by using viruses and testing their hypothesis.

There are many ways to fight the flu. One of the most common ways is to disinfect surfaces human hands will touch. In the article a group of researches from the United Kingdom tested different surfaces with the H1N1 virus on it. These surfaces consisted of fabric, wood, plastics, and metals; common surfaces touched by human hands. Mostly the virus survived on stainless steel, a metal. So to best fight the flu, we need to keep all surfaces clean, even wood surfaces. For fabrics, wash them after someone has used it for a while, especially if they were/are sick. Another way is to just keep yourself clean. Wash your hands frequently, especially after eating and touching a pet. In the article, it stated that in hot and being around salty water conditions, the virus survived shorter outside a host. So you can keep your house cool, but it doesn't have to be cold like a hospital! Therefore, the best ways to fight the flu is to keep your house clean and you also. Keep your house at the right flu killing temperature.

There are alot of way to fight the flu. One way is to always wash your hands after you have touched something. You should cover your mouth when you sneeze of cough. Which afterwards you should was your hands so you dont spread germs. Also ways to fight the flu are to keep things you often touch clean so you dont touch it ans then possibly rub your eyes. Also wash your hands before you eat just in case you have to put your hands in your mouth like if your eating finger food. Also stay away from people who are sick. So in all of that basically keep yourself clean and all that you touch clean and you will fight the flu.

This article is a very interesting one.It talks about viruses and how fast they can spread. They also talk about what tempatures they have to be in for the viruses to die or evan to spread faster.A virus is a tiny germ that can cause diseases. The most famous virus we are known to is the flu.Another good fact about it is that if they can't infect anything else they will shrivel up and die basically. That is what i got from this blog.

This article is basically saying that N1H1, swine flu, can survive for 6 months, says French scientist that tested this. Also, the UK did testing on objects that can carry viruses that can cause swine flu. This virus can be carried when someone sneezes, wipes their nose on something, and other possible ways. Also, the article says that the viruses can reproduce when it attacks an organism. The aricle said that there was a virus that spreaded from country to country in 2009 that made a lot of people sick. Swedish scientist said that a virus can be kept on paper money for 3 days. So, this is what the article said about viruses that cause swine flu.

There is a lot of way to fight the flu virus. First of all you have to wash your hands after you touch anything, when you sneeze or when you blow your nose. In this article I learned that in the United Kingdom some researchers swabbed different varieties of an ordinary surface that has the H1N1 viruses. The places they tested are a material that is likely touched by human hands including wood, plastics and metals. Also on stainless steel the viruses stayed on for nine hours and other surfaces viruses died faster but it left behind bits of its DNA. Scientist in Switzerland showed that the flu viruses can survive on paper money for up to three days but the viruses lived for 17 days if mucus like if like that was from a sneeze or cough it would end up on the paper money. This article was very interesting so it helped me understand that I should always wash my hands so that I won’t get sick if I put my hands in my mouth.

I think the best way to fight, and prevent flu viruses is to stay clean. Like always wash your hands, and wash yourself. You don't want to get sick, because you touched something that was infected, by someone else, and then not wash your hands. You could get sick, and you may be the reason someone else gets sick.

To fight a flu virus you have to get a flu shot. Remember to wash your hands everyday. You don't want to get coughed or sneezed on by anyone who has the flu. You might not want to even to touch there stuff. You also might want to change the temperature. Also, H1N1 has been well known to spread quickly and easily. So, you need to watch out for that. Some of the best ways to fight the flu virus are: get a flu shot. You could go to your doctor or a pharmacy to get one. You could also wash your hands. That might be the simplest thing you could do to stop a virus. You could also sanitize your hands when you don't have access to a sink. Another way is to not touch your face. That could also keep you from getting sick from the virus.
