I can always find the answers for questions in my book. But I still am not sure how to do the formula stuff.

Matthew,
I will check back in a couple of hours. Try the math. All you have to do is plug in the numbers into the equation
F=ma or if finding m, m=F/a or for a, a=F/m

F is force measured in Newtons (N)
m is mass measured in kg
a is acceleration measured in m/s^2
